The landscape aspects for the Master Plan for the Old Harbour of Trieste were developed considering the relation between the area of the Old Harbour in relation to the sea, to the town of Trieste and the Karst landscape surroundingthe town. The aim was to reconnect the area of the Old Harbour with these realities. The Old Harbour of Trieste is huge in comparison with the size of the town. The position is extremely strategic, in direct connection to the city center, the railway station and the coast of Barcola extending to the castle of Miramare. The visual connections between the Old Harbour and the most significant landmarks of Trieste have been studied and the plan aims to strengthen these connections.
