Senses
park for the blind and visually impaired
Trieste - Italy - 2004
We have tried to imagine how a blind or partially-sighted user would understand the external physical environment. The garden has been designed to stimulate all five senses. A curving path forms an extended walk through a narrow space. The bordering stream offers freshness and the sound of water. The space is articulated by a sequence of theme gardens conceived to stimulate the senses and to give the user the possibility to undergo tactile exercises and to cultivate plants.
